How to earn points

Via Taste Test:

  1. Create a community Taste Test
  2. Enter a community Taste Test
  3. Win a community Taste Test
  4. Comment on a Taste Test
  5. Vote Taste Test entries up or down

Via Registration:

  1. Create an account
  2. Add photo
  3. Add bio
  4. Add friends
  5. Choose favorite stores
  6. Link w/ Facebook, Twitter, or OpenID
  7. Invite friend to join Unclip

Via Blog:

  1. Submit “User of the week” entry form
  2. Being selected for “User of the week” profile
  3. Share blog entry (Twitter, FB, Digg)
  4. Comment on blog entry

Via Community Interaction:

  1. Fill out “feedback form”
  2. Suggest a new store to Unclip
  3. Report a bug/issue to admin
  4. Community policing (reporting spam, nasty comments)

Rules for Taste Tests

Creating a Taste Test:

  1. A user may create only 3 Taste Tests per day
  2. Specificity is encouraged
    a. For example, if a user asks “What should I get my dad for his birthday?” she will get a lot of answers that don’t fit her dad’s personality or her shopping budget. She will find more success if she tells us a little more: Is her dad a sports fan? A book lover? A snazzy dresser? How much does she want to spend? Etc. Adding a helpful pic or video is even better.
  3. The more users enter a community Taste Test, the more points are awarded to the creator and the eventual winner.
    a. For example, a Taste Test with one response will garner both the creator and the winner 10 points each. A Taste Test with 100 responses will garner the creator and the winner 110 points each.

Responding to a Community Taste Test:

  1. A user may respond to as many Taste Tests as she wants as long as her responses are helpful and relevant.
  2. A user may only submit one response per Taste Test.
  3. A user may delete or edit her response. If deleted, she may submit a new response, but will not be issued any additional points.
  4. Responding to a community Taste Test is worth one point, no matter how many people have entered a response.
  5. Winning a Taste Test is worth at least 10 points. For each competing entry, the prize is raised by one point.

Responding to a Sponsored Taste Test:

  1. A user enters a Sponsored Taste Test by spending points on a response.
  2. The retailer sponsoring the Taste Test chooses the winner and awards the specified prize.
  3. A user may submit only one entry per Sponsored Taste Test.

Rewards:

  1. A user may spend points on deals and products available in the “Unclip Store.”

Penalties:

  1. Abuse of Unclip.com will result in suspension of an account. Abuses include:
    a. Using offensive language in Taste Tests, responses, or comments.
    b. Spam.
    c. Posting irrelevant information as a response.
  2. If a retail partner does not send prizes in a timely manner, they will be dropped from Unclip.
